Florida news: Which Florida college should you use in College Football 26?
A week into the release of the newest edition of EA Sports College Football, people are still experimenting to find the perfect team to play with in Dynasty Mode.
Whether you want to take over an already established superteam, someone in the middle of the pack, or completely rebuild a bottom-tier, one-star college, the state of Florida has a wide range of options for you to select when you load into your first career.
This guide, courtesy of Florida News Blitz’ Dylan Richardson, will offer you a rundown of all the possible Florida colleges that you could use, including the best players and conferences.
Florida Gators - SEC
The Florida Gators play at the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, located in Gainesville. Also known as ‘The Swamp’, the stadium is ranked as the 7th most difficult to play at, so if you want a home venue for visiting teams to be terrified of, the Gators are a great option.
Their iconic blue and orange colour scheme has produced some future NFL superstars, such as Super Bowl MVP-winning running back Emmitt Smith. College Football legend Tim Tebow also represented the Gators at the collegiate level.
The Gators start as the 11th-ranked team in the country, with an overall team rating of 89.
With sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway joined in the offence by running back Jadan Baugh and wide receiver Eugene Wilson III, the Gators have a good core to build around, and you will be able to recruit many high-ranking prospects right away.
Florida State Seminoles - ACC
Located in Tallahassee, the Seminoles have been a solid team for the last few years, but still need a lot of rebuilding to turn them into a powerhouse.
With cornerback Jeremiah Wilson, their highest rated player at 91 overall, Florida State has continued to commit to recruiting promising defensive players, with both Deion Sanders and LeRoy Butler graduates of the university.
You will have to recruit a new star quarterback in your first season to take with you on your journey, as current QB Tommy Castellanos will be graduating at the end of the season.
At 85 overall, the Seminoles have several good players who will carry you over the line in your first couple of seasons while you recruit the future of your team, making them a perfect team to rebuild in the short run.

Miami Hurricanes - ACC
Responsible for one of the greatest assembled college football teams in 2001, the Miami Hurricanes are one of the most prestigious college teams in American sports. With 38 players drafted from that team alone, including 17 first-round picks, can you return them to their powerhouse days?
With 91-rated quarterback Carson Beck to declare for the NFL Draft after your first season, the key to your success will be recruiting a new star to lead your team back to National Championship contention.
At 91 overall, the Hurricanes are still one of the highest-ranked teams, with players such as RT Francis Mauigoa, edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr., and sophomore running back Jordan Lyle.
UCF Knights - Big 12
University of Central Florida (UCF) is located in Orlando, making it an appealing place for any recruits that you may get.
At 81 overall, UCF is another middle-of-the-road team, where you will start off with some good players that will help you in the first few years of your rebuild, while still having a somewhat challenging rebuild to lead the Knights to a National Championship.
With 88-rated running back Jaden Nixon in his final year of eligibility, you will need to find a replacement as he takes his talents to the NFL. Quarterback is also a massive need for UCF, so recruiting the perfect option for you will be the key to success.

FIU Panthers - C-USA
If a long-term challenge with a great storyline is your type of rebuild, then the Florida International University (FIU) Panthers could be the ultimate option for you.
At 69 overall, FIU is one of the lowest-rated colleges in the game, making a really challenging rebuild on your way to National success. Also located in Miami, can you take this one-star organisation to the College Football Playoffs and overtake the current Miami powerhouse, the Hurricanes?
FLA Atlantic Owls - American
Another low-rated school in College Football 26 is the Florida Atlantic Owls out of Boca Raton.
With a big stadium located just off the East Coast of America, the 69th overall team will create another big challenge for you on the road to victory in the College Football Championship.
Despite being 69 overall, the Owls still have some decent players to build around, such as 85-rated receiver Easton Messer, 83-rated quarterback Caden Veltkamp, and a high-potential running back in Xavier Terrell, who starts at 77 rated.
USF Bulls - Tampa - 79 OVR, 79 Offence, 79 Defence - American
Despite a decent overall rating of 79, the USF Bulls are only ranked as a 1.5-star college, making it a challenging environment for recruiting top high school players.
However, with some good senior players like quarterback Byrum Brown and running back Cartevious Norton, USF could have a good first season to start your rebuild with the team.
