Orlando news: International Drive’s best attractions to see and do - Part one
Orlando’s International Drive offers a plethora of activities, entertainment, and unique experiences for visitors and families of all ages.
I-Drive is a major tourist hotspot due to the popularity and variety of its attractions, experiences, and dining options.
Most attractions on this list will receive their own separate articles, which will delve into detail about why visitors should check them out.
Here, Florida News Blitz writer Joseph Hannen takes a look at seven of I-Drive’s top choices, with a part two to follow.
Icon Park
Icon Park is a must-see for anyone situated on I-Drive; the Ferris wheel, known as The Orlando Eye, is unmissable due to its height of 400 feet.
This ultimate entertainment complex offers multiple unique attractions, with the highlights being Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and the Museum of Illusions.
Icon Park also features an Aquarium, a 7-D motion theatre, gift shops, and numerous high-quality dining options.
The Orlando Eye provides views of your favourite Orlando theme parks, as well as stunning views of the surrounding area.
With so many options to choose from, and all attractions coming at a price, I recommend buying one of the combo tickets that Icon Park offers to save money.
Wonderworks
Want to combine entertainment and education? Look no further than WonderWorks, the science-focused amusement park.
The upside-down house always catches the eye as you pass, but what lies inside is even more impressive, with over 100 interactive exhibits.
WonderWorks recommends spending 3-4 hours exploring, a testament to the extensive offerings; however, visitors are allowed to spend as much time inside as they like.
Popular features include laser tag, the indoor ropes course, and the 4D Extreme motion ride.
Prices are seasonal, but visitors can expect to spend around $30-$40 per person; kids under three are free.

Dezerland Park
Orlando’s largest indoor attraction, Dezerland Park, is another perfect spot for a full day of family fun.
Dezerland Park is home to Florida’s longest indoor go-karting track and largest pinball arcade, just one of the 20+ attractions and experiences to enjoy.
For adults, Dezerland Park includes one of the world’s most extensive car collections, with 2000 iconic cars to see from your favourite film and TV classics.
You can also find axe throwing, bowling, a trampoline park, and much more at Dezerland Park.
Similar to Icon Park, each attraction comes at a price, so be sure to find the best tickets to suit your interests.
Orlando Outlets
Easily one of my favourite places to go on my first day in Orlando, the shopping outlets on I-Drive put ours at home to shame.
The Orlando outlets have so much to choose from, from your favourite casual brands to premium designer shops, all just one trolley ride away.
My favourite part has to be the discounts and deals. I frequently see huge deals from high-end brands that feel too good to be true.
The outlets are a great way to start and prepare for the weeks of holidaying ahead.
TopGolf
TopGolf is renowned for its high-tech driving range, but also features a vibrant lounge offering entertainment, food, and drinks.
The perfect spot for competitive groups looking to improve their swing, TopGolf combines entertainment and technology for a truly unique golfing experience.
The atmosphere and entertainment make TopGolf a brilliant spot for birthdays and social gatherings.
There is no fee to enjoy the bar, restaurant, and rooftop terrace; however, prices vary depending on the time of day you wish to book.

Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf
More of a mini golf fan? Pirate’s Cove is the perfect place to enjoy a round of mini golf, with two 18-hole courses on offer.
Pirate’s Cove guarantees family fun with courses and theming that, like the outlets, put courses at home to shame.
I love playing on the first and last nights of my trips, and it's reasonably priced at $20.50, with potential discounts and deals available at your hotel.
Pirate’s Cove can get busy, so be prepared to wait behind groups at peak times.
Orlando Heli Tours
A highly unique experience concludes part one, as Orlando Heli Tours offers breath-taking views of Orlando’s most popular theme parks and destinations.
Heli Tours offers a range of flight routes, including a Celebrity Grand Tour, a Disney Spectacular Tour, a SeaWorld and Universal combo, and more.
Heli Tours helicopters can safely fly families of four with air-conditioned comfort, making this an excellent experience for all ages, as long as you don't fear heights.
Prices vary depending on the course, and be prepared for possible cancellations due to weather issues.
