Orlando news: Where to eat at Disney World - Must-try restaurants for every kind of visitor
Walt Disney World offers an incredible variety of dining options — from whimsical character breakfasts to world-class restaurants run by celebrity chefs.
Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or your significant other, there’s something magical waiting on every menu.
Here, Florida News Blitz writer Taylor Stephenson shares some of his favourite spots to dine at in the happiest place on earth.
The Crystal Palace
Located at the top of Main Street, U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom, The Crystal Palace is a family favourite.
This cheerful character dining buffet gives guests the chance to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends, making it a must-do for families with children.
I recommend booking a breakfast reservation here — the food is precisely what you’d expect from a quality buffet, with plenty of variety so even the pickiest eaters can find something to enjoy.
A great perk of an early reservation is getting early access to the park, as you’ll have a chance to capture some beautiful photos of Cinderella Castle before the big crowds arrive.
Once you’ve finished your meal, you’re already perfectly positioned to start your day of fun in the Magic Kingdom.
Whispering Canyon Cafe
For one of the best bang-for-your-buck dining experiences on Disney property, head to Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
If you’re a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member, you can also take advantage of a 10% discount here.
The restaurant’s rustic theming perfectly captures that cosy campground vibe, making it an excellent choice for families or groups of adults.
The all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets are loaded with mouth-watering barbecue favourites — from ribs and chicken to some of the best smashed potatoes I’ve ever had.
If you leave this place with your belt still buckled, you’ve definitely done something wrong!

Morimoto Asia
Located in Disney Springs, Morimoto Asia is an absolutely stunning restaurant created in collaboration with celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto. It’s the perfect choice for a romantic date night.
The elegant décor, attentive staff, and creative cocktails all set the stage for a truly memorable meal.
Confession time: I’m not a huge sushi fan, so I didn’t dive into their sushi menu — but friends and fellow diners swear it’s among the best they’ve ever had.
I started with the famous spare ribs, and let me tell you — they more than live up to the hype. The hoisin sweet chilli glaze is tremendous, and the meat literally falls off the bone.
If you’re looking for a spot with incredible food, craft cocktails, and a touch of sophistication, Morimoto Asia is a must-visit.
The Boathouse
Another fantastic dining option in Disney Springs, The Boathouse offers a higher-end experience while still capturing that touch of Disney magic.
The menu features a wide range of seafood and steak options, catering to every budget — from lobster and T-bone steaks to burgers and sandwiches.
My personal recommendation: start with the filet mignon sliders. They’re melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfect for sharing if you don’t want to fill up before your entrée.
For the main course, the boneless ribeye is a standout — perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and so tender it practically melts as you eat it.
Whether you’re enjoying breakfast with Winnie the Pooh or dining under the chandeliers at Morimoto Asia, Disney World’s dining scene offers experiences every bit as magical as its attractions.
These four restaurants are, in my opinion, the best of what Disney dining has to offer: great food, excellent service, and that unmistakable touch of Disney charm.
